Job Overview

To lead as an IT Project Manager with a strong technical background to be part of the Business Technology team to drive and deliver IT projects and initiatives to support the organization’s digital transformation. We are looking for experienced Project Manager who have proven delivery track records in leading strategic, cross-functional, business and technical cloud project implementations.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities

  • Lead and manage IT projects as part of an integrated program management
  • Manage cloud adoption projects such as migration of existing on-premise systems onto the cloud
  • Understand and work with commercial cloud service providers on their various offerings to support transition of systems to a cloud first environment
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to elicit and analyze requirements, reconcile conflicts, deconstruct high-level information to deliver the appropriate system
  • Engage multiple stakeholders for demand planning and project prioritization
  • Manage cross-projects activities dependencies and trade-offs
  • Conduct procurement exercises such as tenders and requests for proposals to obtain solutions and services for the delivery of the project
  • Work with Vendor IT application development teams, infrastructure, architecture and information security to support the delivery of projects
  • Vendor contract management to review contract terms and conditions to understand obligations in a contract and areas of risk
  • Closely follow industry trends to identify new technologies that provide business values.
  • Align project deliveries and IT solutions with IT Enterprise architecture
  • Work closely with PMO for project reporting and documentation
  • Ensure compliance to Government and EDB principles and policies
  • Continuously benchmark project management performance to identify improvements and achieve higher capability maturity
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel, and modify schedules or plans as required

To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:

  • Bachelor's degree in business information systems (IS), computer science or related field, or equivalent related IT experience
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience managing a complex project involving multiple teams.
  • Proven delivery experience in project management and/or business solutioning in cloud project implementation with strong technical knowledge in cloud-based (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) technologies.
  • Familiar with managing software development using .NET, involved in complex system integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) and understanding of, cloud application management, Micro services and API gateways
  • Strong vendor management with experience in managing third party vendors in a managed service and staff augmentation model
  • Hands-on experience using project management tools e.g. Microsoft Project
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g. Kanban Boards, Jira Software, Confluence, etc.) is preferred
  • Understanding of the Singapore government technology requirements is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, analytical, problem-solving and influencing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management Professional certification desired
  • Singaporean
